A new owner has bought the Lincoln golf club, putting an end to the last of the company’s more than 300 years of serving golfers in Melbourne.

The golf firm has been run by Arthur Lincoln for the last 30 years.
“It’s going to be a different experience to the one we had 30 years ago,” Mr Lincoln said.
“We’ve got a much bigger footprint, we have an expanded staff, we’ve got an experienced staff, and I think we’ll do a better job with the facilities and the things we’ve put in place.”
But the main thing is that we want to make sure that it’s the right place for golfers.
“The new owner said the club was going to focus “on its current operations” as it transitioned to a new management team.”
I am very excited about that, and the future of the business,” Mr Lisle said.
The former owners of the Golf Club said they wanted to concentrate on improving its facilities and infrastructure, including “the new facilities and improvements we’ve made over the last few years”.”
The golf facility will reopen at the same time as it did in December 2016,” the new owners told the ABC.”
All the courses are open, the courses will open at the exact same time, and we will have a range of courses for those who want to start playing golf now.
“So, it’s going be a fun new venue for everybody.”
Mr Lincoln said he was excited about opening up the club.
“As we move into the future, it will be a really good place for people to start their golfing careers and for everyone to start enjoying their time in Melbourne,” he said.
